Workshop on Equivariant Homotopy and ∞-categories
İstanbul Center for Mathematical Sciences
19-21 August, 2015

The goal of the workshop is to explore the interface between classical equivariant topology, which studies actions of (finite or compact) groups on topological spaces, and the emerging field of infinity categories, which is a framework for studying spaces up to higher coherent homotopies. The workshop will consist of a minicourse in infinity-categories, with talks on simplicially- and cubically-enriched categories, quasicategories, and applications to higher homotopy operations and homotopy coherence, and specialized talks on equivariant homotopy theory.

Lecturers

There will be a 6-talk minicourse on infinity categories given by David Blanc of University of Haifa and Debasis Sen of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and Samik Basu of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University and Aslı Güçlükan İlhan of Gebze Institute of Technology, on ∞-categories apart from the presentations given by the participants.
