Programs and workshops

Each year, research programs are determined. An expert of the field is invited to run a major research program.

Each of the major programs is encouraged to start with an introductory workshop for a community wider than the group gathered for the research program.

Graduate seminars

A seminar is organized prior to the introductory workshop to prepare the interested group of graduate students to follow the talks given during the major research programs. Additionally, researchers may organize graduate seminars for students from the universities collaborating with the Center.

Research in Pairs

The Center hosts pairs of researchers to initiate and work on joint projects. At least one of the researchers must come from a local institution. They are provided with accommodation and full access to the facilities of the Center. The duration of the program is typically two weeks.

To apply to this program, please send the following documents to Ferit Ozturk, co-director of the Center, via e-mail: ferit.ozturk@boun.edu.tr

(i) A cover letter indicating the proposed dates;
(ii) a short research proposal (1-2 pages);
(iii) outline of activities (e.g., seminar talks); and
(iv) curricula vitae of the researchers.

Public events

  organizes public events with the goal of increasing public awareness of research in mathematics and its applications, through public lectures and media events.
